Better with a T-stat if you're going full flow as it allows the oil to get to operating temp sooner so less wear and tear on the engine on cold starts.
Optima Yellow top mounted in the hatch, going on 5 years now and has NEVER let me down even when discharged to the point of won't light up the dash lights.
Keep in mind they WILL vent if you exceed 15v.
Different clutches require different amounts of travel to fully disengage, I always adjusted mine so full release was 5mm from the carpet then reset the brake pedal height to match.
The "idea/reasoning" behind this is you don't need the full pedal stroke and unless you have a pedal stop doing...
