I'm waiting till I'm actually ready to start on mine before I educate myself on it's inner workings as at this age I'm finding each new thing I learn pushes something older out ;)
The o-ring seals the CPS body to the head, the seal seals the CPS Shaft to the the inside of the CPS body and is inside under the Reluctor wheel and bearing..
Do you mean o-ring or "seal" Lane?
The 0-ring should come off without removing the gear, the seal not ;)
In the past I've reused the gear and have just made a new pin from mild steel.
Yep I have a crack in the cooler boss on the case of mine (NFI how though) so have to swap out cases and figured I'd freshen it up as it did 40,000+ Km's @ 550rwhp last build.
Follow the TRSM exactly and DON'T tighten the tensioner any more than 36 ft/lbs or you'll deform cyl #1.
personally I usually thank people that have gone out of their way to help me but maybe that's just me.....:nono:
