so you bought a turbo cluster and swapped in a voltmeter from your pre89 cluster? and the voltmeter worked in the old cluster? Poopy! double check your wires, and make sure you compare the way that voltmeter was connected to the original cluster and how you have it now. Im wondering though...

No, 89+ NA's had 160's, I would know, mine has one...the only thing I can see in that is the redline is lower than my 89

yeah, actually what the other guy said about painting the panels seperately might work out, but from my experience with painting metallics, its really best to shoot the whole car all at once using an even spray pattern and thickness to get the flake to lay the same.

Is it possible the motors were disassembled at one time? Because its possible that the arm that goes on the motor was put back on 180 degrees out from where its supposed to be...that would cause the issue you describe.

The simplest thing to do is start at the plugs and work your way backward. No spark at the plugs, check the cap and rotor, no power at the cap, check the coil/coils. No power going to the coil? check the voltage regulator...etc

I would say if you werent dealing with a metallic color you could blend the areas that needed more base coat...but working with a metallic its going to be near impossible to get everything to match up. I really think your going to have to spray a whole new color coat.
