Measure the piston 1/2 an inch under the Oil ring groove then measure the bore and see what you have, used Pistons should never have been hard to slip into the bore I still think it's a ring issue
Damn electricity just won't jump that last 5mm gap ;)
(lost count how many times I've spent hours trouble shooting to find it's a dumbass related cause of my own making)
I had the pump line plumbed into the raised section between the little pumps, that way once it stopped sucking there was still some water left for washing the screen, the fitting isn't in that pic but you can see it's hole.
