Kylefoto is jumping on the bandwagon, build thread!

I'll ask around but I dont really know anyone in the market. I really loved my 74 coupe 20R/5spd conversion. I would love to get ahold of one again maybe with an RG motor or do 3S swap. One of these days....one of these days...

    Home depot lip

Actually last time I checked it was under $5 for a new cover, and you can aplly it right on top of the old one. It actually gives it a bit more strength. It is vinyl and can be painted with any of the typical vinyl interior paint products.

    pics of my supra

I like the car alot! not hip on the ricey floor mats, something to match the gray interior would suit my tastes. Another great example of a clean 3E5. Its too nice to rip into, I would leave it all stock and just enjoy my beautiful ride.

    Sawblade stripping

Trust me Bi-mart has the surfacing pads for the angle grinder. You should find the packs right where the other sandpaper, steel wool, and other refinishing supplies are. For my local Bi-Mart its against the wall by the spray paint.

yes you can find it in the flooring section I believe. Its typically used in bathrooms around the base of the walls...thus the term "wall base" Well I was originally going to make a plate that then went back as an engine undercover and extended far enough forward to be a mounting point for...

OK, well I was personally asked very nicely to repost the pics of the process on how to do this. I'll see if I can dig up the original photos and rehost them. Give me a few hours and the first post should be fixed.

    Sawblade stripping

To be honest Ck those pads arent that great for paint, but do a good job on rust on bare metal. If youve ever used those green scotch-brite pads on an aluminum cooking pan you know how they make quick work of scum and stuff. Paint however tends to clog them very fast. The paint on sawblades...

    Sawblade stripping

you mean Never Shiney? I used that stuff AFTER I polished a manifold once and all it did was make it dull again. If you dont have a home depot or Lowes nearby Bi-Mart and I am pretty sure walmart as well, sells something similiar to the hook and loop backing pad and some of the surface prep...

If your engine knocks... no cause for concern?

91 or even better yet 93 would probably clear that knock right up. If you dont have 93 locally, get yourself a couple of gallons of avgas or race gas and mix some in with each tank.

If your engine knocks... no cause for concern?

If you have a late 89 or later you have the round mounts and they are prone to breakage. Also dont discount the idea of the harmonic balancer being loose, I know someone who actually had one fall off while he was driving it coughstevencough*. Low RPM, under heavy load, knock is fairly common...

    Sawblade stripping

WAAAAAY too much work! I am going to reveal a little secret weapon I use to make short work of polishing aluminum to an absolute mirror shine. Using my process you should be able to take a fully original sawblade and make it shine like chrome in about an hour. First thing you need is an...
