yes, those are the wires that are jumped for the 12v mod.

i've never seen a distrubutor mounted that low on a motor before...
and if you just spend the cash on a new one, then it's nice and flexible, so you wont have problems with it.
and it would have been easier to just make a metal block off plate (like the j-tube idea) to cover the hole if...
thats badass. is it heated? thats the only downside to my gradmas:( but on a good side, i keep the supra on the road year round, so on "nice" winter days i take it out for a drive. i have one garage at my house that's semi-heated. in 0* weather it stays around 50*F, which isnt so bad. so if i...
i'm not exactly sure, but you *MIGHT* be able to just pull out the fuel gauge sending unit and shine a flash light in there to see if it's a wally. here's a hint. the stocker is about twice the size of a wally. so if the fuel pump looks small, chances are you've already got the walbro.

little, huh? haha. thats excellent. my grandma lets me keep the supra in her garage for the winter. (she doesnt have a car) i always offer to shovel the sidewalks and stuff in payment for it. (though i would do it anyway)

good call, i forgot about that. i was having battery problems last week, and one of those popped, and i had NO power in the car whatsoever. check that!

i'm not sure if thats a good idea, or of the effects of doing so. you *could* relocate the relay to some less obvous location. i'll be moving mine to the firewall, to open up that space even more.
well, the way dr. jonez says to do the 12v mod is to place a jumper in the body side of the...

that connector right there. cut it off close to the resistor pack, and solder the two wires together. that'll give you 12v constant :)

there's a good thread on SF that jonzey posted in as well. i have it bookmarked, but SF is down for now. i'll post it up later.
hte 12v mod is super easy. just pull the plug for the resistor (two wire plug) on the passenger inner...
i just cut the relay off the resistor, and then used the origional mount for the relay TO the resistor to fasten the relay to the firewall. it looks more clean than having the resistor there. i'm leaving the relay. i opened it up to clean it, (wasnt working properly) and had my dad watch how...
if he's using N/A electronics, the lex afm wont work, as the N/A's use a flapper type afm...
(basically the same reason that the n/a guys cant do the lex/550 upgrade...)

totally untrue. a tiny pinhole will cause temp spikes, low coolant, a leaky heater core could do it too. every time air gets in the system, it has the tendency to spike the temperature gauge.
squeeze all of your coolant hoses. if you see even the smallest amount of water come out, replace...
only a month?! consider yourself lucky, my friend. i've been down for over 6 months. patience is a virtue;)
however, i do hate being screwed over on parts, and trust me, i've been screwed over before :(
but hell! at least you've only been down for a month! i wish i could trade places with...
haha, that really sucks man. i've had no issues with customer service, and it's mad cheap. no complaints here.
FL progressive can lick lick it. upstate NY progressive kicks ass:)
