Are the 1jz turbos ceramic on the exhaust side?

We have a Tanabe Hyper Medallion in stock, its very nice. $485 + shipping. I also have a BIC ceramic coated devorced down pipe here slightly used for $500, in very nice condition. It was only on the car for about 1k miles but we are doing a 1jz swap in it so it's just not needed.

    Project Regal

My dad calls his Regal "the fuelie" and tells me "did you know this thing is fuel injected?!?" all the time LOL He refers to the chrome hub caps as his "hubs" :biglaugh: Here's the baddest Cressida around: We made a big(er) brake upgrade for Cressidas with 4 piston calipers...

Are the 1jz turbos ceramic on the exhaust side?

No smoking at all, the shaft just snapped and it made no boost after that. I really am starting to dislike the stock 1jz turbos.

    Air in cooling system

I think you are doing the right thing by checking everything out first. Do the block test and go from there. At this point in my 7m experience I would not recommend anyone use a stock head gasket on a 7m-gte engine. IMHO it is just throwing money away. I'm sure some would disagree but that's the...

    Air in cooling system

Problems like this are common before you get a full blown bhg. It's possible for high cylinder pressures to seep past the gasket but for coolant not to be burned. Also, on a 7m cooling system with a good rad cap, no leaks, properly filled overflow bottle, and no bhg there is no need to "burp the...

    Which Coil Overs

You would have to purchase softer springs if you wanted. Several people are running the Megan's and seem to be happy. 18k and 14k is gonna be great on a flat track and annoying on the street imho. Even if you bough softer springs for the Megan coilovers you are still a few hundred dollars...

    Which Coil Overs

I can getcha those for $1000 plus shipping. Spring rate is 18k and 14k if I remember correctly. One thing to note though. Just because a shock looks like another, does not mean it will work the same. One reason Tein and others are more expensive is because the valving in the shock is tested...

    my car pc!

$1000-$1300 maybe? It was far less money then a indash Kenwood, Alpine or Pioneer monitor with dvd player and navigation, but it can do 10X as much. You could build it cheaper, you could build it for more. The good shit is always more expensive :icon_wink I usually buy good name brand for...

Oil coming from between head and block after HG installation

Then I was not too far off but I still think they should not have people modifying brand new metal gaskets with drill bits or grinders.

Oil coming from between head and block after HG installation

Cometic :thumbdown I would consider those gaskets to be designed incorrectly and Cometic should recall all of them and redesign them. Or minimum put a big sticker on the bag that says to remove the rivets.
