If you had a 10mm helicoil strip out you can use the new helicoil tap in that hole still. So yes, you can pull out the old 10mm helicoil, drill it to 29/64 with the supplied bit, and tap it for the 7/16 helicoil.

It is easier to tap good course threads then fine in the head. The corse threads are taller so it bites better in the aluminum.

One word of advice, if you use a monitor without a vga input the text will be blurry and almost unreadable when running windows on a 7" screen. The cheapest decent vga 7" widescreen monitor is a little over $250...

I have heard the opposite, that making them true 2jz twins causes the rear turbo to fail prematurely. Can't say I 've tried it though.

I disagree. Things like you are talking about are the exception, not the rule. There is PLENTY of real world experience out there that says the stock head gasket is unreliable and prone to failure at any boost level.

It's alive! Not bad considering there's no air temp sensor, coolant temp sensor, or o2 sensor. Only codes showing up are for those 3 items, which is excellent! We just started it a few times for maybe 10 seconds to make sure it runs.

Running 16 psi on a stock head gasket with stock bolts, no problem. Thats great actually! .....because I have HKS metal headgaskets, ARP studs, bearings and engine gasket sets in stock and ready to ship as soon as your blows tomorrow!
