The single would have put the project over the top cost wise. Plus, 320hp is no joke. It's also not just the single, you also need injectors, fuel management, ect... We have friends that are making 380whp with just a boost controller on the JDM stock twins.
Exhaust is custom from the turbos...
It's really turning out nice! There are still plenty of things to do but the good news is the engine harness is finished except for some split loom needed in a few places, and there are no engine codes!
We got the oil pressure gauge working also! Intercooler is next on the list.

Sure, if you do your own labor. I was talking about picking it up complete. Close to $5k if someone else did the work probably, thats a long way off from the new shortblock cost. Around here full head rebuilds are close to $500 plus porting and polishing is usually billed hourly, and bottom end...
If you add up the cost of all the machine work, new bearings, new rings, new pistons, new rods, etc.... It will come out to about the same as the new shortblock. And good used 7m-gte's are getting harder and harder to find.
