Even NA MKIV's sale for $20,000.00 if they are in good shape. The people that own them know what you want to do with them so they sale them for ungodly amounts of money. Like you said, I would rather have a MKIII, but I also love the jz engines, so I feel I have the best of both worlds.

I don't know for sure, but if you ran it without a knock sensor, it seems to me that it would throw a code 52. You can usually find someone on here that will sell you one, or you can pick one up at your local junkyard maybe. I would just replace it instead of trying to rig it up. Good luck.

I thought that ARP's were 80lbs. also, but mine for my 1jz I just put in said to torque to 70lbs. That's what the instructions that came in the ARP box said to do so that's what I did. I kept wanting to torque them down more, but decided to go with the instructions................:aigo:

YES. 100% torque them to 72lbs. I'd do it now instead of waiting for the 1000miles.
