Someone will probably buy it, just not me. LOL
My grandpa always said "the car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay you for it".
If it sells for $7k then that's what it was worth to that buyer.
If everybody jacked up the price of their mk3 poeple would just buy s13's :biglaugh: Oh wait, they already do buy s13's at high prices because the DEMAND for the car is the only thing that can raise a car's value to double or triple the bluebook value, and there is not that type of demand for...
The crank pulley bolt goes counter clockwise to unscrew it. "rightey tightey, lefty loosey". :biglaugh: It's just on there like a sob, and sometimes it takes a 3' breaker bar with a 5' pipe on it to remove  You have to remove the whole front timing cover and the rear main seal plate to get...
It's another person who really does not want to sell the car, unless they get more then what it's worth. It is very clean, but a $13,000 "buy it now"?
My 7m car is for sale too, I'll start the bidding at $25,000, and I have dyno sheets to prove it's over 400whp. Any takers?
If you check all the journals and rods and they are within the specs, and you use the plastigauge to verify it then that sould work ok. If you change the pistons you should change the rings and hone the cylinders at least with a flex-hone brush though, because otherwise they will probably not...
LOL, thanks dude. We have FOUR 7m engines at the machine shop as I type this. We had one that spun a bearing and the crank looked just fine by eye. We measured the damaged journal and it was .040" under the rest! Threw it in the trash.
That may be the case sometimes. And replacing the endcaps is not needed but resizing them is just good practice. Micropolishing is also not needed, but a standard polish is normal procedure for a bearing replacement job.
The point is that I love Supras, and I want to recommend what will make...
I just got a call from someone looking for a 1jz clip right now.
Why? Because his second 7m put a rod through the block right after he did a headgasket job on it. I hear that same story about every other day, and I'm not exaggerating. I'm just trying to give good advice, not give you guys a...
A new set of rings and a cylinder hone would be required unless you want your engine burning oil.
If you can't afford to do it right once, you sure can't afford to do it wrong and do it twice.
I'll cross my fingers for you and say a little prayer tonight.
