I removed everything related to A/C in my car, and bagged/labeled it for future use if I ever decide I need it again. (though, that would involve removal of my FFIM)
No issues unless you have the A/C button pressed in when you check codes. (which would cause issues regardless. ;))
Supaman- I used it because someone apparently used all of my good grease. (my dad and brother are the only two who use the garage besides me)
I planned on taking mine back out and lubing it up with some good grease, but haven't gotten around to it yet. So far, no issues. It's been about a year...
If I remember correctly, the sensor is supposed to be about 3 feet down the exhaust, as heat is an issue. Many people put them closer to the exhaust manifold, but in all reality, if you see it go max lean on a WOT pull, you're screwed either way...
I used multi-purpose grease. I put the shifter socket, and the end cap in my '94 4x4. The difference is incredible. 150k on the old bushings didn't fare so well. :(
And I'm pretty sure that they made a newer version that fits easier... but I could be wrong.
^ I was seriously hoping that you were going to regear. Otherwise, that thing would be a dog, and even low gear would be pretty useless.
Looks sick! My bro has a '79 F-150 that he used for a plow truck for several years. It's a 351M, (factory modified to a 400). That thing had balls, but now...
I give respect where it's deserved, and earned. If a modded civic smokes me, he deserves a thumbs up. If a modded geo metro smokes me, he deserves a thumbs up before I drive my car off a cliff. Lol.
If you're using the GE block, and GTE electronics, you have two options.
1) tap the other sensor location on the block and run two KS's.
2) make a custom pigtail with single input, dual output at the ECU, thus making one sensor signal split into two for the GTE ecu.
#2 is what I did to...
Nick- I got the new rear A-arms for about $325/each. List price I believe was around $450 or so. I get a healthy discount at my local dealership because I'm in there so often. :)
Life gets in the way. I certainly know how that is! (This car would be done if it it didn't)
They are ET streets...
If it weren't for your suggestion, I wouldn't have thought twice about it. :) Thanks!
Edit: I got the other rear UCA polished today. They're certainly easier to clean when polished, which is why I did it in the first place. :)
I've got my old suspension components (camber arms, toe arms, and...
I found a pretty decent site for Heim joints/sleeves. I'm going to take some measurements over the next few days and see what I can come up with for rear suspension pieces. :)
