Look at the threads at the bottom of this page and see if any of those help you. Usually the problem is either a boost leak, wastegate is stuck open, or bov is leaking.

It has the stock damper on it. I have a call in to Kyle, the guy I bought my turbo from, and when he calls me back, I'll find out what size turbine wheel it has on it.

I don't know what the damper is. I'll have to call to see what the specs on the turbo. When you say turbine wheel, are you talking about the exhaust side?

What are you using for a boost controller? Are you sure it's hooked up correctly? There are probably a hundred threads dealing with boost spikes and or boost leaks. Do a quick search and see if anyone is having the same problems you are and see how they went about solving them. Good luck. If...
