You want the BOV/BPV as close to the throttle plate as you can get it, assuming it's BEFORE the plate. That being said, on a stock setup, grab a piece of steel piping to replace the stock plastic piece above the accordion intake hose, have the FLANGE welded to the PIPE, then mount the BOV to...

^ Yep, nothing internal. They screw into a threaded boss on the block, they don't actually go IN the motor. If it falls out, it'll likely hit you in the head, assuming you're under the car. ;)

Right on. He'll toast those wires with a quickness. (especially if he's running higher than 55w fogs, not sure if he is or not. I know many, including myself do) Definitely check it out. Those stock wires are tiny.
