As Jdub stated- Code 52 means that the wiring or the sensor(s) have failed. 90% of the time, it's the wiring...

I use a Deka ext30L in my M3. It's a half weight battery @ 22lbs. Starts the car every time, no problem at all. 10.5:1 compression ratio. (higher than a 7mgte) ;)
