Ha! Yeah right. They didn't provide any documentation on the unit. I'm sure it'll output the factory 80amps at the very least. My OEM alternator has been sitting in a parts pile for the last 5 years and it dirty as all hell, so I'm happy just to get a clean functioning alternator for $89. Plus...
Well, I don't; and ebay didn't tell me it was, Grand Rebuilder's did. I spoke with them on the phone and the rep stated that the cores are rewound with more wire providing higher output than oem (weird thing is the alt is roughly 30% smaller than my factory one). When I asked about other...
Here's how I ran mine
Pump
To rack
Pretty easy stuff. However it was quite a pain to get the original hardline out. I eventually ended up taking a hacksaw to it and cutting it in half.
I purchased a 130amp alt from Grand rebuilders off of ebay for $89 shipped.

Then purchased a 48mm pulley from QuickStart...
That would cause quite a bit of turbulance. I coated the lower intake manifold gasket (that fits to the head) with liquid gasket and had quite a bit squeeze into the air passage. I was sure to put a rag down into each port (before the gasket had a chance to set) and wiped it smooth to prevent...
I was thinking of filing down the the edge along the wastegate flapper if if it's decently larger than the wastegate hole, however, this may require removing the turbo. If I was to do that, I'd just disassemble the entire thing and fix this properly. This large turbo was a RPITA to put in and...
I've been stock-piling more parts over the last month. That part list is much longer now. I just pulled the interior over the weekend (and found a diamond engagement ring under the carpet:naughty:), so I need to repaint the pieces and reinstall. As far the motor goes, I need to finish up some...
No no. She used a combination of power drill with a coarse wire brush, 300 steel wool and 60 grit sandpaper. Plus she was provided a decent pair of Stanley gloves to wear. I need them hands baby soft to fall asleep properly :evil2:
However, yesterday she could barely open and close her hands...
She's not a big fan of me passing her pictures around. I was however able to snap this one while she was applying rust preventer to the console brace I removed. She actually spent 3 hours sanding that thing down herself while I was pulling the rest of the interior. Now if that's not a keeper, I...
So I was pulling the interior of my 90T over the weeken so I could sound deaden the floor and do a color change. I accidently dropped a bolt down into the carpet hole where there's the vent under the drivers seat. I began ripping up the carpet and low and behold I found all sorts of treasures...
It appears that the flapper is pivoting and catching on the right hand side of the wastegate opening (right were it attaches to the bolt), when it closes. It's as if the flapper pivots too much and then jams on the WG opening when it closes. If I open and close it several times, it usually gets...
The turbo has low mileage on it and is clean. I haven't even ran it yet. I just bolted it up and used an air compressor hooked up to the wg actuator to push the flapper open and shut. After a couple of times, it began to stick. For all I know, once it warms up it won't happen.
So I have a Turbonietics 62-1 Hi-Fi turbo. I noticed that the back of the WG flapper would get hung-up on the WG opening (preventing it from sealing shut) around 1 our of 5 times that I would open and close it. I spoke with the previous owner and he told me that he never had this problem.
It...
You'd think it'd be that simple, but apparently many companies make cores without providing a line of endtanks for them. The core has Gredddy Painted on the front, but I couldn't find any Greddy Core's listed in this size. I was able to find the Garrett part number on the bottom of the core, but...
