I want to run a power wire for my amps through the firewall on the driver's side, but I can't seem to find any openings. I could have sworn I've heard that there are grommets all over the place. Anyone know where they are located?
Pics would be great.
Thanks.
Started putting in the black carpet the other day. Not as easy as I thought it would be as the carpet did not come pre-formed, rather rolled up and shipped in a small box. I orginally thought I would have to cut down the width a bit, however, from the looks of it, it's barely wide enough as it...
I hope you had those injectors cleaned and flow tested. I use the low-impedence ND out of an 88 RX7 turbo that I bought from a member. When I had them flow tested, the numbers came back all over the place. Some flowed almost 25% more than others. Running injectors this way would cause...
I fail to see how this would make your vehicle more attractive at a show. However, with tinted fronts and the hood up you could get away with banging an import model in the front seat :naughty:
On second thought; how much are these again?
They're made by ATI and are available just about anywhere that sells MKIII accessories. Driftmotion, suprasport, horsepowerfreaks and I even think Titan has them too. Not sure who actually stocks them tho. I can't even remember where I picked up mine from I got it so long ago.
I have a 91 Celica GT that has a retractable cut holder under the radio. It's spring loaded too so you just have to push it with your finger and it pops out. Be warned tho, the build quality is for shit. I replaced the radio and reinstalled the cup holder and now I can't get it to stay retracted...
Crap! I don't think I'm going to be able to remove this turbo. There is next to no room to get a wrench in where the hotside meets the manifold adapter. I just realized that I was dumb enough to use locknuts on the studs instead of regular nuts with lock washers. I'm almost positive that when I...
Sweet. I'll shoot them an email right now.
The stuff is called AutoMagic. It says it's a dye, but I'm pretty sure it's actually a paint. Looks to be good stuff. I'll know when the humidity dies down and I can try it out.
I was hoping to find some pre-made options. I've spoken with companies that were willing to make me a set as long as I could provide either the originals or a template. I have neither and don't feel like dealing with it. Plus, I'd have to pay a premium for this work since it would be a custom...
Ordered the black carpet. Now I gotta play the waiting game for the next week while it is made.
Anybody know where I can get some black floor mats with the oldschool Supra logo and not the cursive newer style?
I'm not sure if they do. However, SecondSkin has been around for a long time and have many resellers, so it wouldn't surprise me. I'd hate to have to pay shipping to Australia on this stuff since it's like shipping cans of concreate. You won't need much. I was told by them to get around 8...
Stone Guard is more of a rubberized coating, almost like a bed liner spray. The SecondSkin Spectrum is a viscoelastic coating. Here's what I pulled from their website:
Spectrum™ is a water based under coating designed to reduce sheet metal resonance and structure borne noise. It is a...
I'm not going to use dye, but rather vinyl paint. I found some pretty high quality stuff at a local paint store. I never even heard of it before. But the company is reputable, the spray cans are large and use high quality nozzles. I'll snap a pic of the stuff the next time I'm in the garage. For...
I originally bought 8 gallons of sound deadener ($50 a gallon, but call SoundSpectrum and they'll cut you a bulk discount). I was told over the phone that once the 8 gallons cure, it's only 47lbs! I expect the black paint to hold up nicely since I plan on installing thick carpet with foam...
Put a good 4 coats on. This stuff does not weigh much at all since it is waterbased. I put maybe 4-5lbs of deadener on if that. Not much considering a pulled a good 15-20lbs of asphalt mat off.
Since the deadener is waterbased, a protective coating is needed. Some Krylon Gloss black paint...
The top asphalt mat and the underlying foam came up very easily. However, the bottom mat was a different story all together. I real pain in the butt to get up. I had to resort to a heat gun and scraper.
Here's where 5 hours get ya:
Once it all came up, me and my woman took a...
So I finally got around to start tearing out my interior for the color change (oxblood to black). Dash came out easy, carpet came out easy (found a diamond engagement ring (http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97598) and finally it was time to begin the sound deadening process...
