Ah, good to know. I'm glad you mentioned this. I'm only running a new Denso in-tank pump and the last thing needed is for it to fail and to go lean at 25psi. I was previously looking into smaller catch can options, but all I came across where for motorcyle applications. Will these work on a car...
There are many reasons why people want to remove the CC. As for myself, I didn't feel like installing my rusted cc and brackets when reinstalling everything in the engine bay. Sure if you look hard enough, dish out the dough, and have the ability to fabricate brackets you can purchase...
I wasn't aware the gas tank needed pressure, as the fuel pump and regulator provide pressure for the fuel system. Many have vented their gas tanks to atmosphere without any issues (other than destroying the environment)...
Many have wanted to remove the charcoal canister. The easiest way to deal with the fuel vapors is to simply cap off the line and install a vented gas cap, but it doesn't seem like they make any for our cars. It's been asked many times, but I've never seen it answered. Where can I find a vented...
I got around to putting fluid in the master and bled it. No leaks whatsoever from the driftmotion line. The master cylinder is a new non-aisin one from Napa btw.
Hell I slid under the car and used an 18" breaker bar to tighten them as much as possible. I was freaking doing chin-ups on that thing. Now I wouldn't recommend this method if your particularly large man, but for me it worked well for the limited amount of space I had to get leverage.
Since I couldn't find any A/r information on this thing I took some measurements of the exhaust housing.
Exhaust wheel outside(small part) 61.967 mm
Exhaust wheel Inside (larger part)71.06 mm
The back side of the housing closest to downpipe mounting measures 62.865.
When can I expect...
GrimJack, do you know where I can find any information on these Turbonetics bolt-ons? I have the 62-1 (which I haven't ran yet) and I'm curious what I can expect to push with this with supporting mods. Also wondering when I will start to see full boost.
Everythings coming along real smoothly. I just need a hand with filling the fluids. That means Trans, differential, clutch and brakes. Anyone in the area willing to help?
I have the DM full clutch line installed along with a new master and slave cylinder. I haven't filled with fluid yet, but you're getting me nervous. Plus, a torqued the shit out of it.
I highly doubt it will leak, but we'll see.
Damn! You pulled the floor boards and everything. My car isn't that rusty, but I'm going to basically have to pull the interior just the same. Once the inside is bare, I have to spray Second Skin sound deadener all over and then paint over it (just like I did with the engine bay and...
I really want to stick with the ddp. Otherwise, any non-divorced downpipe would work. It's just on my BIC DDP, the exhaust/wastegate divider and divorce pipe diameter aren't large enough. Other than that, it bolts up to the hotside just fine. I'm going to call Randy later today to work out...
Thanks guys, the engine bay has really come along, but as far as the interior and exterior go, well, they're still shit. I mean bad. I really want to get that ugly ox-blood interior swapped out with my black one, but I figure there's no point in even starting until the engine fires up.
Yep, that says it all. I just got off the phone with Randy and he stated just that. The divider on my ddp isn't long enough to separate the wastegate from the exhaust on my Turbonetics. It will bolt up fine but have a huge boost leak. I'm going to take some measurements tonight, but it looks...
