I got lazy, didnt realize quarts of oil were diappearing from my engine. Im def. NOT re-using that rod. Engine is at the machine shop as we speak, should be fixed up by the end of next week. Loki, I like your sig too. :biglaugh:

Well, got it torn down today. Took some pics of the damage, here it is. Notice in pic #4, the color diff between the midpart of the rod to the part right below the bearings, got HOT as hell.

Well the pump was brand new, ~2500 miles. Im having all the rods done, crank turned, and all new bearings. Im cleaning out all the oil passages, as well as the pump. Puttin magnets throughout.

They already have ARP's. From the looks of it, I'll have to have the crank cut a lil and that one jacked rod replaced, the rest should be ok, but Im taking all of em with the crank to the machine shop.Would I need a new oil pump? Why? Also, does anyone make a magnet kit for our car? Ive heard...

Yea, I was def. low on oil. I have no idea why, but my oil disappeared quickly. I hadnt checked the oil in about 2 weeks, hadnt driven it much. Anyway, I put in 3 quarts and it was still marking low. So yea, DEF LOW. Looks like my oil pan was leakin. Thanks for the offer, thats pretty cool...

Well I got the engine pulled and on the stand, took the pan off to look at the carnage. I immediately notice a nice size pile of metal shavings laying in the pan, what appeared to be A LOT of a bearing. I start poppin rod caps off, went through 3 in no particular order, no damage yet...

Na it wasnt me. BUT IT IS NOW. ITS MUTHAFUCKIN ROD KNOCK. Turns out, the oil was fuckin low. That + racing = ROD KNOCK. Gonna be tearing it down this week. Hope I didnt jack the crank. :3d_frown:

Thats the 2nd time Ive heard that, I HOPE thats it. Toyota adjusted my valves (shimmmed em too) so if it did chunk one, they'll fix it.

Nah, its a LOUD knock. What gets me is that it sounds like its right under the valve cover. I dont know wha it is.
