You don't need auto to be successful at drag racing. Just look at John Shepherd. I, for one, DO need a clutch. It just gives you that much more of a human/mechanical relationship.

You're just missing the door key? Take your vin, and future registration to a local GM dealership. Tell them you want a door key. At the dealership I work at, we cut those type of keys for free.

Do a compression test, block test and leakdown test. If its smoking all the time, it's rings. If it's smoking only on decel, and after it's been sitting, it's valve stem seals. It very well could be valve stem seals after 5,000mi if they used rubber ones and not viton.
