You're right, Will.. Helicoil is a threaded insert to repair damaged threads. However, it's much stronger than simply threading bolts into aluminum. Do it now, or do it later. You're gonna need to helicoil at least one of those exh. mani stud holes, may as well do it now...

Toyota, or get with BigAaron on that one. He's selling the helicoil kits that come with standard size studs and nuts. Best to do it now anyway

GTE, no gaskets requred. Just time consuming. 3000pipe, throttle linkage, and coil packs have to come off.

There are better looking wheels for the MK3. That said, they look OK I suppose. Nothing I'd buy. The car deserves a rim with at least some lip. Otherwise, it just doesn't look right.

hmm... he replaced the water pump, hotwired the fans, and there was a bottle of empty stop leak in the trunk... Sounds like a recurring problem, eh? Check those intake gaskets yet? when they get all gross and leaky, the car will overheat. The 3.1J/3.4E is no stranger to headgasket jobs...

Yep. Get rid of the screws with the stupid little grommets, and put some real bolts on there. 6mm X 25mm IIRC.... and lock washers.
