Anyway, obviously the only concern is the heat so I think you should try and find out which would be better: bottle open or closed during heating (to hold in or release pressure while its heated) and then either way I would get it pressure tested as well.
A different gear oil probably will not do much. I'm in a similar boat and have been through 2 gear oils now. The best was Redline 75W90NS so far so I'm going to stick with it. It doesn't eliminate grinds, especially on downshifts, but it does help the syncro enguage with what little it has left...

Are these silicone couplers you're using with the worm gear clamps? If so, ignoring the fact that I knew HTS specifically says DO NOT use them with silicone couplers; from my own experience with the cooleeze IC pipe kit the clamps will not hold and do loosen over time with silicone couplers...

Ugh... with the DS fiasco I just had I might want to check those bolts too then. I torqued them all to spec but I didn't use thread locker or anything.
