    Lower the heat. Most soldering irons have temp control. Even butane usually do.

    If its the same year everything should pretty much work. Only differences would be the boost gauge vs volt meter. Not quite sure on the differences between non abs cars and tems and such but generally how the wiring is done there will still be that wiring weather it was an option or not...

    Car doesn't need to be warm to check for codes. If you clear the codes and drive if the problem is not fixed they will come back.

    first pic looks like o2. Last pic white plug is for noise filter usually bolted to igniter. Other one looks like the map sensor.

    There are easy cheap pnp harness. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=132 Wires should be the same color coming out of the CD player as the ones going to the speaker. Can check for power on each wire before hand to and if there's none can use a head phone jack...

    Good rotors with good pads make a big difference. Can use ebc Trd porterfield etc. even oem Toyota pads work pretty good but not if your hard on them.

    Sounds like the coolant needs to burn off in the exhaust. Fix the knock sensor soon as well.

    2j came in a few cars. None of which wil fit in a mk3. You will get the same outcome with a 7m or 2j. Stock diff is fine. Can get a rebuilt kit for it.
