You'll need a spacer with a WG section welded to it. You may be able to get away with just removing the vacuum source to the actuator of your current internal gate... it should keep it closed due to the spring pressure in the actuator. As for what size wg to run is COMPLETELY dependent on...

I think I'd put the head facing down.... as not to get spatter on the machined surface.

Maybe this is a "Guru- NO NO" but I just take the scraping brush to the welds after I'm done shooting them, and I think they look 10 times beter cleaned that way. Spatter is definitely not hard with this stuff.
