I love driving a gutted car. I think my next DD supra will be fairly gutted. Not that much, just door panels, center console, seats, and dash.

you and that damn smiley, loki... someday it will be. i'm in no hurry though. if i rushed, it wouldn't be done as i'd like. I've already changed my plans a few times for the better, things that i would have done, and regretted, so i'm happy about the (lack of) progress.

That's the parking brake "caliper" It's not for emergency stops, as he stated, just clamps the rotor real tight, and probably has little to no friction material. Looks good Dave! Time will indeed tell on that brake. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens

oh yeah, that too. The guy I borrowed the hoist from let me borrow his load leveler for the first time i removed my engine. After that, I bought my own setup and when they asked if I wanted a load leveler, I definitely bought one. I wouldn't ever pull an engine without one.

ooh, yikes.. yeah the 7M is only a pain to remove when you do it wrong! You've got hoist hooks at the rear of the head on the exhaust side and on the alternator bracket. Remove with the transmission and you can have it out like most of us in 2hrs time. It just looks like you did it the hard way...
