I will go ahead and make the upper pipe that will coupler up to the stock pipe in the fender soon. (all 2.5" SS that will delete the 3000 pipe.)

I wouldn't use #2 directly from that picture... most likely would re work it and somehow retain the stock PS res.
Just food for thought.

You'll still get some compressor surge on a small turbo while driving normally. (After start-up)
I would check the vacuum hose going to the BOV, and make sure it's not leaking a little bit. When my tial was brand new, I thought it was sticking too... I came to find out the vac. hose was...
I'm thinking: "If I do v-band at all, I'll do the quick release v-band."
Currently my DP is vband, but that sucker likes to stick once it's been heated up on the car.
