Sorry to go off topic here then, if I go WOT at say 1800 rpm in 3rd gear, why does my afr stay near stoich til mid 3000 rpms? I thought open loop happened regardless of RPM as well but my afr's are saying it doesn't switch over til mid 3000 rpms, or atleast that's when they go over to 11.0
Okay so my hx35 finally arrived. It's a 7 blade version with the divided exhaust manifold.
It's got a back plate on it designed for a v-band. I've measured this and it comes out to 3.107" on the outside of the band. Will a 3" v-band downpipe work with this?
So, how would oil introduce itself into the combustion chamber if the cylinder walls are being washed of all the oil? Also, there's fresh fuel introduced to the cylinder on each intake stroke. How would this affect the octane rating?
Where do you see a dividing symbol? By order of operations you do multiplication, division then addition, subtraction.
So as Razoe already stated..
40 + (40 * 0) +1 =
40 + 0 + 1 =
40 + 1=
41
Your windows calculator says 1 because it's doing the math problems from start to finish, ignoring order of operations. Whereas your desk calculator, you're inputting the whole line then the calculator does it by order of operations.
Well what you want to do is this, turn out the afm screw all the way or even as much as go mid way. After that you'll want to hook up a multimeter to your vf/e1 ports in the diag box in the engine bay. Switch it over to dc volts and look at the voltage, you want the voltage to be 2.5. My car...
The 370 was kind of disappointing, I was expecting a little bit closer of a race. When we started, it was like a 30 roll, so I started in 2nd. Soon as 3rd hit, it was basically over. He didn't have much done either, the nismo package with headers and catback was all he said.
I'm not sure how well it'll hold high psi, as it's a spring type bypass valve. I believe they will hold to 18 psi? Don't quote me on it though.
The piston type BOV's such as hks ssq close up tighter with the more PSI run.
Yep, you'll need to use different hoses though unless your stock BPV hoses are still pretty pliable.
And you'll know if you're running it backwards, it'll moo at you when you transition between vacuum and boost. I couldn't figure out why my BPV was moo'ing at me til I removed it and noticed it...

The only intercooler we were able do to an actual before and after test with on our own car was one of the units from Cartech. At stock boost pressure we found an 11-horsepower gain between...
