Toyota has already giving tuner shops production models in advance to begin making aftermarket parts. It has factory rolled fenders and other design features with aftermarket modification in mind.

The car is only 10" or so longer than the miata but its REALLY wide. Compression is at about 12.5:1. A free flowing intake/exhaust and a tune (A/F and duall VVT-i) will probably yield good results. The car has wide-band type fuel control so it will make it easy.
This has got to be one of the best collaborations EVER, from a marketing and consumer standpoint. Deciding which on to get will be down to service, styling, brand loyalty, or factory tuned packages.
What will be weird is that TRD part will work with the BRZ and STI parts will fit the 86...
Good thing it has a TOYOTA motor. :)
Toyota have made boxer engines before, and they have already been in the new forester for about 2 years. They added dual VVT-I and the direct injection fuel system. Something i doubt Subaru could do themselves.
Who's getting one? :) I might wait after the first year. Toyota has a habit of waiting till the next model year to turbo things.

Changing compression does not alter A/F ratio. Even if it changed the ECM can compensate through closed loop fuel control. These cars run rich stock which is safe. Leaning it out will yield more power but you loose that safety net.
I'm around 9-1 compression, 7 psi with 91 octane. 87 made it...
I tapped the extra hole. I ran 2 coaxial cables to the ecu connector and soldered them.

My trans was just rebuilt :) . If i had a choice to buy another clutch with the same rating it would be a 6 puck. The engagement just feels better to me when your driving. :dunno:
No thats pinion preload. Grab the input flange and wiggle it back and forth, should feel tight. You can also pull the cover and look at where the wear is. It should be in the center. ,
Problem with the kindle is theres no password protection for purchases .now the the fire is out I'm pretty sure there will be no more development from users or manufactures for the nook anymore.
The clutch is in and i like it! There is about 300 miles on it so far of all city driving. It does chatter in first but once your moving upshifts and downshifts are like butter. I think i can cut the chatter down by replacing my worn out center driveshaft bearing and beefing up the transmission...
