ya lol also i went because the 1JZ is only a 2.5ltr and puts 280+ hp out the 7ms dont even come close factory and its a larger displacment ya i could have spend 1-200 $ less and done a 7mgte but why ? i blew #6 on my 7m and a 2jz cost way to much and a 1jz revs higher way more fun.
But dont push a 2jz-ge and think its a 2jz-gte by switching parts because the block is diffrent too the block on the 2JZ-GTE haves oils sprayers to cool off the pistons the 2JZ-GE does not the amount of extra work you put into a 2JZ-GE converting it to turbo you can almost buy (2) 2JZ-GTEs...
A dyno in a garage doesnt messure drag coeffiecients and other variable they tell details on the page on how to get more acurate info.
Maybe the gtech saw more torque then the rx-7 had though RX-7's have a lot of HP per ltr but no torque.

Or you can V160 6 speed that 1JZ but then you need around a 3.20 diff otherwise you have to launch in second gear making 6 speeds useless.
Also if its not a 3.20 with the V160 then you have no top end speed.
Dang $150 for a SS turbo upgrade flanges. Can you make a lot of them we would gladly pay 2X that what hp do you plan to get out of the 1j with this mod 4-500 + ? and that looks like it would spool up fast.
Are you doing this in a sequential set up like the mkiv or twin like 1jz.
IG1 pin 11 black wire. The 1JZ haves only 1 signal. I think it comes from the ignitor.
Contact the Mfg. of the meter they should point you in the right direction from there.
You can try to change the cylinder setting the coil packs might use waste spark technology.
I think it uses 3...

i just bought one and it works great it was a trick to calibrate the tach but once its done your set. If you have tach issues because you didnt buy the whole clipe maybe use one of these instead.

i heard if you just cut the pink wire going to the ecu your done ecu does not know how fast your car is going. also there is a way to split the pulses so the ecu thinks your car is going half the speed or slow the pulses down a lot maybe as simple as putting a capacitor in series in the pink...

bottom end --> get a 2jz long block build a 1.5jzgte
top end --> just get another engine by itself for $600-$800
so for 2k you have fun and drive right away 600-800...
why not use the V160 its the tranny that came with the 2jz i heard its a tough fit in the tunnel but adjusting engine positon even can let the twin turbos fit what some one was saying but id do single personaly. 2JZ-GTE w V160 6speed. the v160 is even tougher then the r154 from what i understand...
