Thank you! I was thinking nobody would seriously consider that. You blow one of those plugs and it will likely be over before you know it. I cannot stress enough that you use toyota brand here. Most machine shops will install them for ~$20 or less, if you are doing a rebuild.
You guys are aware that alot of the off brand freeze plugs do not fit 100% tight, many people have done rebuilds using non-Toyota brand plugs and blown them out shortly after. They end up being 1/64th or something like that too small.
Could be an easy fix with Toyota plugs.
Crazy it took that long to sell the car, if i saw that back then i would have bought it the day of, thats a steal with the rp01s, cf hood and only missing the motor.
That was some impressive driving! One of the best burnouts ive seen.
Actually i might know on the condition of the r154... Gage might have bought it from Jeremy awile back. A little less than a year ago id say.
If it is the same R154, Jeremy had it rebuilt and practically had no miles on it, when he parted out his car.
What the hell Kevin... when you said moving i thought maybe back up to northern Oregon or something. You gonna come back down for supra meet ever?
Oh and there is 1 person i know of that has a mk3 up there...
Actually a repost... but a worthwhile one at that.
It will be nice 10 years from now, when all the parts for those are still availible because there is still a demand. Much cheaper also. Your technicians will get very used to the system, their tech schools can have more focus on the other...
This place is a resource, it is a giant encyclopedia with thousands of opinions to it also. Not everyone magically figures things out themselves just by doing the shit. This place can be used to compare parts and inquire on mysterious ones. I find it tough to believe that when that comes to mind...
Where in the hell is that?!? I live in Maple Valley...
Edit: Oh shit its just before the golf coarse... ive been looking for a shop for awile. Cool to know theres one just down the road from me.
How good of a job did they do? Were they knowledgable or did you have to explain anything to them?
If i could have anybody work on my car here in Washington it would probably be Ron. Other then that theres Torque Freaks and RRev in portland... though i think RRev is Vancouver.
What is it you want done?
