my engine does that too....I'll open the butteryfly valve all the way and the k&n will make a whoosh and then it revs...I just figured it took a quick second for all that air and fuel to make the revs jump...it's like 4.3 miles from the turbo to the throttle body when using a factory intercooler...

it can be a pita to make sure the teeth on the belt are just right, but if you read the tsrm it says how much slack there should be between the cam gears, the intake gear and the crankpulley, and the crank pully/tensioner/exaust gear. You may have not set the cps right either...double check...

some grease helps here too...I managed to get mine in with no problems, it should have a little flex to it. I also put some grease on the top of it so it would be nice and smooooth :)
