How wore are your mounts(tranny and engine)? I ask because twist/backlash from the transmission will cause an excess wear on the mating surfaces inside and lead to this eventually.
just something to check on if you replace or rebuild the gearbox
I have a R154 Transmission:
I saw on drift motion the OEM clutch only mentions the W58 fit. Is it the same plate for the R154?
I have been looking around for a new one and just having a hard time getting good information. I even have a NEW stage 2 clutch plate for the R154 in my possession...
Have a R154 5 speed.
I'm curious if I get a stage2 daily clutch plate does it need a stage2 flex plate and fly wheel to go along with it? Or can the plate only just be swapped?
seems like the OEM is a little thicker on the centre spline compared to the stage 2
Did you measure the depth of block holes then insert the stud. Then measure amount left on stud showing just to be safe? I know its re-dudent but just a double check.
Is it possible the tension pully slightly off causing it to ride along that lip eventually leading to failure? I know its only one bolt holding it level, maybe a worn edge of it?
Or weak bearing?
UPDATE: Heat and oil and then we braced crank and It finally gaveway!
The wife was painting the other day, but had a co-worker with me today.

Alright, I'll just take it to a shop for that. But I had another quick question I got the hub off after I got the wife home, and holy mega nut for the front bearing. The rear was a 32mm If I remember correctly, the front is a fair size larger. I finished late last night, and I didn't have my...
Hello,

oh lord I am a narb. Never mind. I had the exhaust tube on the turbo push up to it but not clamped. Lesson learned double check hose clamps. I assume IT popped it off after the throttle touch. I went to shower and was going through each step and then I was like....oh ma god. (insert Face palm...
