HAHA I dont' blame you though, the idea of re torquing after 50XXX miles, didn't make sense, if there was damage to be done, it would have had plenty of time to surface, and torquing again would just smash the already messed up gasket... If it were a brand new car with say 30 miles, it is more...

I would venture to say that if it is the headgasket, it is because you did not remove the rivet.. I just put a Titan/cometic into mine as well and had to remove the rivet. Some of the newer ones are rumored to clear, but I did it anyway to be sure. Also, another great test to check for BHG is a...

yeah thats more along the lines I've heard, that ARP's do not recommend a retorque, but the stockers are a hell yes... like you said though it is all heresay haha but what isnt?

hmm why the retorque? I have heard mixed things about that... I think I know the reasoning behind it, but I have been told yes and no on re torquing
