I've said it before, but I have both the older and newer versions of the max stg 3 with the 3200lbs PP, and I've never had an issue.
Both installed with brand new Toyota throw out bearings and clutch safety switch disabled.
Leaking at idle: You probably didn't get/install the flange with the raised lip: (Fire ring flange? I dunno.)
What I was saying is the GReddy 4-bolt wastegates have a different exit than the HKS.
You can see the dump exit is on the shorter width, vs the HKS which is on its perpendicular.
I brake boost all the time from rolls... it's the only way to race from a roll with a large turbo.
Dunno if it's hurting anything though. (R154)

First I used a 3" v-band clamp and welded it to a 90 degree bend:
