    gasket name question

I'm gonna have to go with the turbo seal on this one. I had the same problem, right down to the embarrassment factor. I even pulled the accordion tube to check for oil at the compressor wheel, but found none. You would likely see the leak on the turbine side, though if the turbo is leaking...

Sequential injection help + other tips

The 30-1110 box (87-88 7M-GTE) and the 30-1130 box (89-up) are the same, just with different ECU connectors. The writeup for removing multiplex has links to the ECU pinouts.

I'll try to post some pics on Photobucket later tonight. The camera on my G1 phone doesn't have a zoom feature, so it'll be pretty hard to get good pics right now. **EDIT @ 1746 EST** I just went out and looked, and it's going to be difficult to get pictures that show any detail unless I pull...

Everything is a good (but tight) fit. Right now, I'm using the SAFC Neo with a Lexus AFM and 700cc Denso injectors. It runs good on this setup, but I need a better clutch set before I can put it on the dyno for real tuning. I am using a stock PP and Competition Clutch organic disc and it...

    stupid cheap ebay gaskets

I bought that same Evergreen gasket set off of eBay, but also ordered a 1.2mm HKS MLS gasket to use. New ARP studs were installed, and it's never a bad idea to check the torque after a few thousand miles. The other gaskets and seals seem to be working just fine. I'll be checking the rear main...

I used a 45° coupler to do the charge pipe on mine. My DriftMotion turbo came with an elbow welded to the compressor outlet that makes the opening face towards the front of the vehicle when clocked like the stock turbo. The 45° coupler worked perfectly. I used a CX racing intercooler...

I may have misquoted the price of the injectors. I purchased my set of 700cc injectors from Five-O Motorsports for $389 almost a year ago. The same set can be found at the DriftMotion store for $410 http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-700ccdenso7m2jzinjectors.php. I took them to FIC (Fuel...

    Fan Controller

My fan controller runs off of a constant +12V power source (the battery). This is so that the fans can continue to run after the key is switched off. I feel that I have a very simple setup and it has been working well for several years now. If you really must have a switched power source, you...

    aem ems components and mods

If you get the EMS, you don't really need the TruBoost. Just buy a boost solenoid and save your money for the AEM Serial Datastream gauge.

I don't really see you making 550 rwhp on your budget, but I could be wrong. T67 might get you there. I recommend Driftmotion for the turbo kit, especially now since there's virtually no fabrication required for the 7M. I have the T04 60-1 kit, primarily because I wanted to make good power...

Idles at 3k rpm NEUTRAL cant stay under 45mph!

I say IAC. In Toyota parlance, that equates to Idle Speed Control Valve, or ISCV (just as jetjock mentioned above).

Idles at 3k rpm NEUTRAL cant stay under 45mph!

I had this problem a couple of times. My throttle body has a hex screw adjustment for the throttle valve adjustment. The screw works its way out of adjustment and keeps the throttle valve (butterfly) from closing as it should. As a result, it's all you can do to keep the car stationary at a...

How many PSI is my HKS w/g spring?

I do realize that this is an ancient thread, but I have some of the same questions. I have a Driftmotion 60-1 kit with the 50mm racegate replica, and think that I'd like a heavier spring. Where can I find replacement springs? Will the 40mm WG springs fit and just open at a different pressure...

    SSQV supra Specific recirculated kit?

I understand the question, and the answer is "no". You can use a section of hose to recirculate the BOV, but the angles involved make it nearly impossible to keep from kinking the hose (without it being 2' long). I have an HKS BOV and the recirc adapter. I previously used an HKS intake pipe...

    question on ebay exhaust manifold

Pretty sure that 321 (or 3-2-1) refers to the stepped pattern of the manifold, not the actual material used.

    question on ebay exhaust manifold

Yeah, I've been looking for a SS manifold for an upgrade. That looks like a replacement for the stock cast manifold, but very little info is given with respect to the flange size. IMO, it looks similar to the one that I am planning to get for my T04 upgrade, but then again it might not even be...

+Bee*R rev limiter Installation Guide (JZA70 specific)

Yes, it is a universal "Rev Limitter", but it is my understanding that the instructions included (and via the website) are in Japanese, like so many other products; this is a 1JZ specific writeup.

Glass from usdm mirrors into jdm folding?

This thread is a couple of months old, but just my $0.02... The different styles of mirror have differently shaped pieces of glass. I do not think that simply getting a new piece of glass cut will fix the problem with JDM folding mirrors, as it is the housing that requires adjustment. I am...

Issues Calibrating the TPS on an 89 supra 7m-gte

I'd be willing to agree the the ISC is the easiest thing to remove as well. Good idea to clean that diaphragm as well, as it tends to get a bit sooty. I happened to have my TB off for a "reset" at the time that I replaced and calibrated the TPS.
