Removing multiplex from 7MGTE for less than $200

This is so very important. It is very easy to get this mixed up. I spent many hours trying to find and fix this simple mistake. It is also easy to overlook the coil numbering in the TSRM. Good picture attached. Thanks to Hal for pointing me in the right direction.:thumbup:

    Throttle body coolant line question

What are the disadvantages of bypassing the coolant line at the TB? (Stock TB, Stock intake manifold). Soon to be running speed density, if it makes a difference.

    Need ignition wiring info

Aiight... Let the record show that once again, Hal has come through and potentially saved the day. I do think this is my problem. I think I've been calling the coil packs "1-2-3" from left to right, and I'd assume this is a big deal. I'll check all of this out tomorrow and let you know...

    Need ignition wiring info

My setup: DM T04 60-1/.70 ar, Denso 720cc injectors, big FMIC, AEM 30-1110, 3.5bar MAP, GM AIT (open element), AEM UEGO, 2.5" aluminum hardpipes OK, so here's my problem. My car is an 87T and has a fresh 7M-GTE (JDM) with less than 8K miles on it after the rebuild. Motor was rebuilt with HKS...

Wiring pressure sensor and temp sensor into AEM.

Thanks! But at the same time, rats. I just realized that I've got the 30-1110 (87-88), and that the pins will be different. I'll cross the two EMS pinouts and figure it out. Thanks all the same.

    ATF & PS Fluid Question

So, what about the PS? Spec is DEX II, will DEX III be okay? I seem to remember reading it somewhere, still looking for that thread.

    Aem Map Needed

They probably did work, but you know that folks forget about a thread after the problem goes away, lol

    Aem Map Needed

Did any of them ever end up working? Just curious. I need a base map for speed density that is good enough to get the car to the tuner, about 15 miles away. I'm running a DM60-1 setup, so I figure those maps might have more than enough fuel for the short trip.

Will you be able to easily tell if it had BHG.

"Once" is all I'm planning on having to do it. My engine now has all ARP hardware and a standard HKS MLS gasket. I'll probably melt pistons before I blow a HG, and if that's the case I'll have to think about a 2JZ. Someone said it at the beginning. Every car is different. I can't believe...

Will you be able to easily tell if it had BHG.

I wish I knew someone who'd do it for $300... Book calls for an insane amount of labor on this. I don't have it handy, but the labor rate for a motor in "good" condition was like 8 hours. Eleven if "rough". I believe stock HG to be fine when torqued to 75lbs or so. Do you not resurface the...

Intake Air Temp sensor placement question

Thanks to all of you for giving me the information I need. One last question to Grim Jack, though. Ddd you actually put the sensor in the engine compartment, or in the fender well? Thanks again.
