Yeah it's alot of work to do with the engine in the car. If I remeber it requires dropping half the suspension and jacking the motor up off the mounts.
Just don't hook up the electronics and it should work fine. I base this on the fact that my ABS and all wiring was removed from my 5spd and the car hasn't exploded yet.
Theres a inverted square nut (sorry don't know technical name) on the bottom of the gas tank. Just put a 3/8" socket extention in there and turn it out. Prepare to be soaked in gasoline.
My advice:Wear safety goggles when messing with the lines, I know this from experience.
I'm working on an engine myself. I was planning on having PAECO do all my machine work but there milling machine (or whatever its called) is getting repaired and won't be back for a while. I need to get my crank reground and some work done to the block.
I've been wondering the same thing, I have an HKS peak hold gauge. I was messing around with buttons once and it zeroed out, but now its off again and I can't figure out how to re-calibrate it. If anyone knows how, let us know.
Hehe I mentioned the car wasn't registered/insured yet. I've been trying to get a title for like 4 months now.
The reason the front end doesn't look right is because the hood doesn't close even. I'll get that fixed soon though.
My IC pipe takes up too much room right now, the air filter won't smash down anymore. I think of it as a hood scoop (except when it rains then I think of it as a pain in the ass).
He's into photography, so here's a chance for my halfway done project car to not look like a bucket.
hmmm you can almost see the engine....
heres some examples of my own photographic skill :<
Now I just need to get some pictures of my shortblock buildup.
I really wanted to go but my front main is leaking really bad. There's no way they would let me run, I'd be spilling all over the track. Also the car still aint registered/insured.
I had the sound after I fixed a radiator leak, burp your system for sure, might be as simple as air pockets.
If your mechanically inclined a BHG isn't as big a deal as people make it sound probably a days worth of work. If you aren't then you probably should learn.
Its the only strip I really go to, if I don't make it to Holidays this week I'll be going to Steele sometime in the next month for a Sunday test and tune.
Nice results, what are you running an upgraded ct-26? I plan on going up to the racetrack even though car isn't registered and is missing half the interior :<.
I've tried tracking down a miss the same way too. I had too much problems with the timing light picking up a constant signal so I gave up. You definetely get a bad reading if you don't hook the light up right next to the coilpack. This makes it really hard. Anyone have better plan for finding a...
