I made a little more progress, but my damn laptop ran out of batter and shut down the MAP CAL I was tuning and didn't save it. I have to do it over again. No biggie. It's a learning process. Miguel, there's a slim chance of me going to the twisted sisters run this Saturday. There's all...

help me decide on a paint color 8)

Color change paint job, wheels, and suspension is quite a chunk of change. Which line of paint are you going with? BTW, I recently responded to somebody who WTB shims and buckets. I gave him three shims and buckets for free. He paid for shipping and he had it in his hands within week. I'm...

Ok, today I knocked down the fuel pressure and got it to idle with the Vf reading 3.5v. I need to work on tuningthe rest of the "free rev" (-10psi) range to 3.5v. Then I have to put it on the road and see if I can tune the rest of the points of vacuum in the closed loop area. That's going to...

No progress yet. I'm still dealing with it stumling and dying when I touch the throttle. It's as if it's running with the AFM unplugged when running the stock set up. I get the concept of how to tune each point (and there's alot of them), but I can't do much if I can't drive it.

First step is do a little body work and fill any obvious low spots. Then prime the entire car, and guide coat it. Then the fun begins... blocking the whole car finding more low and high spots that weren't that obvious. Fix/fill them with some glazing putty. Prime and guide coat and block...

Buy some paint & body supplies. Primer, body filler, sand papers. I got to messing with the MAP ECU this morning. At first it wouldn't idle. It kept running pig rich and dying. I got it to idle around 14.7afr. It's a start. Started tuning up to 2500rpm on one line. I need to make a...

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure she'll get the care she needs. You think it's postpartum, or has she had a history of depression?

Less than three months ago you were complaining about being poor, and missing the days of people giving out freebies. Now you have over $7000 to play with? Must not be that poor.

I'm doing good. I'm about to attempt fooling with this MAP ECU again. I'm determined to learn it so I can tune my car and run speed density. How are you doing?

    Should I Do It?????

The real question is why would someone want to trade his r154 for a w58? That's a red flag for me. Maybe that r154 is junk. Good luck.

Google 25mm valve shims and see what comes up. I think they're 25mm.

    Spacer between Flywheel and Block

Yeah, didn't think about that. You don't have to drop the trans to check for it. Duh.

    Spacer between Flywheel and Block

I swore up and down mine wasn't backwards as I installed it myself. It turned out it was. Drop trans and check it. Besides I don't see how spacers behind the flywheel would affect clutch engagement because the clutch disc & pressure plate is mounted onto the FW itself. Go ahead and remove...
