You have a original working AM/FM-Cassette?
My cassette stopped working the day after the Toyota warrenty was over. Can you believe that!
Any way, I would get a wire harness that plugs into the wire harness in the vehicle like shaeff said. They do make one for your year car. Don't pay more...
If you're looking for high performance or just better performance rotors, they should be cryo'd. You can use very hard and abrasive pads with them without too much wear problems.
Cryo treatment of rotors makes the coef. of friction greater and a more wear resistant surface. I've been told by a guy who does this process on anything from shears to rotors, mostly rotors, that the rotor life will at least double. You could cryo your engine parts for wear, but I'd be...
Fuel filter's above the differential.
Good Luck in replacing it. Get a flare nut wrench. I forget what size.
From my experience in changing mine, get a Toyota filter. Don't get a Purelator one. It leaks.
The W58 (GE) tranny does bolt up to the 7MGTE. (I've got a 7MGTE in my NA with a W58.) There is a couple of chasis mods that you probably have to do. The GE and GTE block is identical. There's been a lot of discussion on how much power the W58 will handle. But I believe most people say...
I think the difference was between Turbo and NA.
I got a Random Tech cat from Suprasport that was sold for a turbo.
It was 1 inch too short for my '87 NA>T.
So I got the NA one and it was the right length.
So I was under the impression that the NA and Turbo cats were different lengths.

You probably won't notice the difference. The 7MGE motor is a high RPM motor. It has no low end torque to speak of.
I got a HKS 65mm sport exhaust for my NA. I didn't notice any difference.
But then again I think its still pretty restrictive.
But when I went to 7MGTE, I got a 85mm HKS. I'm...
I have a shock sensor.
I mounted it on the passenger side fire wall. If you mount it to the side of the car, you'll get a lot of false alarms. I put it on the passenger side to keep it away from drive by traffic vibration. You should also get a very good one. The cheaper ones don't adjust...
The engine's probably toast at this point. (Mine was)
If the head gasket is that bad (burning coolant) and the motor's been run several times in this condition, at a minimum the head is warped.
You'll need a new motor and head. There's several places in LA that import JDM (motors from Japan)...
If you're going to change the springs, change the struts too.
It took me about half a day to change my struts. Its not a difficult job.
If I remember, the rear were a pain because I had to remove the interior lining to get to the nuts. The cover openning in the lining was too small.
The thing...
If its a ground problem, just check for power at the bulb receptacle using a multi-meter when someone depresses the brake pedal. Use chasis as the ground for the multi-meter.
If you don't get any voltage when the brake pedal is depressed on any of the bulb contacts then its not a ground problem.
My wife's got a '03 Passat Synchro Wagon.
Great driving car.
But the VW quality is real bad. It uses rear brakes twice as fast as fronts. I replace rear brakes every 6 months.
It burns a quart of oil every 2500 mi.
The rear wiper was toast before the first year was up.
All 4 tail light...
Welcome Drew..........
Do you have a NA or a turbo?
As far as a minimum rebuild, I did and would recommend something like this:
I would recommend tearing the engine down.
Crack check the block, head and crank. You don't have to do this but it would be a bummer if you rebuild the thing and...
