Are you sure it's not steam? Condensation burning off from overnight? Or does it do this all day after the car has been sitting for a few hours?

Top off the coolant reservoir and keep an eye on it. White smoke puffing out on beginning of start up could just be condensation burning off. Nothing to fear... just yet.

An afpr will allow you to bump up the FP to accommodate higher boost safely. So that your afr's won't lean out on the big end. You should be able to hit 15psi with just the lex/550 mod. The real question is what are your afr's doing at that boost level. I would buy a wideband first, and monitor...
