Try the old injectors maybe? The ones on the motor might not be stock (different impedance).

2JZ flywheels don't work with the R154 clutch, the only way they work is if you swap in a V160 (GTE flywheel) or W58 (N/A flywheel).

FYI- USB 2.0 works but you can do better. I'm just going to lengthen mine - if you use the right cable and proper connections you shouldn't have any problems. I'm using heat shrink on the inner wires, then soldering the shielding together, then wrapping the joint with aluminum foil making...

Troyota's is fraying, and mine is absent, so that's a no-go I'm afraid.

Throttle cable maybe, I think I'm going to try that one myself. I tried ordering that PS line a couple days ago and they cancelled my order because they didn't have any, same with Autozone the day previous. I ordered from rockauto.com this time, hopefully they have it.

They're both 1JZ 2.5L. Mine says JZ1 on the back, and it has the 1st gen PCV system.

Very nifty. Got any pics from the engine bay side of where the hole was cut? Got any picture of the ECU mounted and connected? Is there much slack where the connectors plug into the ECU, or is it tight? How much did the body wires need to be extended?

Figure $4k+ and a minimum of 2 weeks if you've never done a swap. You may have the motor in in a day, but it's the wiring, hoses, and all that jazz that will slow you down. With a front clip, mounts, a pre-lengthened harness, an open parts store down the block, competent help, all the right...

I'd say 350-375, again depending on tuning.

The only difference I'm aware of is in the PCV system, is that different between the motors? 1st gen had the hose routed to the turbo feed y-pipe, the 2nd gen had it routed to the front turbo feed pipe.

The 2JZ V160 clutch won't work with the R154. You need a 1JZ flywheel, which is the same as the 7M flywheel but with a different bolt pattern. You'll also need a 1JZ bellhousing. www.driftmotion.com either has or can source most anything you'll need, and they're prices are good for new parts.

I'm wasn't doubting you, just asking. I looked it up - the pistons are the same, and the rods are the same in all ways -except- length. So they use the same bearings and fasteners but are in fact longer on the 2JZ. So the difference of 1" makes more sense then.

Well, I know you know your stuff so I stand corrected. I guess the rods and pistons being the same is a myth then?

2 inches taller? Wouldn't that mean the 2JZ stroke is 4" more than the 1JZ? I dunno but 173mm seems awful large, in fact that would make the 2JZ a 6 liter motor. The block height difference equates to half the stroke difference, making it (86mm - 71.5mm) / 2 = 7.25mm taller.
