You are sure that there isn't anything hanging down and touching the road? Or touching the wheel or driveshaft? Often with minitrucks (sorry that's what I know really well) when you lower them it changes the suspension geometry and will cause issues. Maybe the driveshaft u joints or carrier...
Thanks for the suggestions. I will slowly be working over the winter on weekends and after work some days. I just started doing the wire tuck and I eliminated some things I don't want or need. And already I hate how many open ended plugs there are. Plus our cars have so much weight on the front...
Right on man. A word of advice for you. Get organized when you begin to take things apart. Such as labeling parts when they are off the car. It will make things go smoother and probably save you some time.
Ya if you do disconnect it then I don't think the fuel pump would work. I found a bit of info when I did a google search of "7MGTE C1 check connector". I have kinda figured it out now that it is an important connector. Well at least 2 of the 5 wires are necassary. I still need to look into it...
Okay after a Google search of "7MGTE C1 check connector" (which had a few sm links lol) I have realized it is an important plug. It has a wire going to the EFI main and I read about the fuel pump won't work and some relays and starter and such. You will have to Google it but in my case it needs...
No I am stripping my car down for the winter to get some things done. Do you have the 7m? Or anyone with the plug should try n disconnect it and see what happens. I would but my car is not up and running. That is a great idea. I would LOVE if it was an unused plug. That would mean I could...
I took a bunch of pictures so here they come. In some I am pointing at the connector in question. My battery and alternator are removed from the car. And I have done a bit of wire tucking and relocating of things. All my fan relays are gone. So don't get confused by those things...
That doesn't help FUllNelson. What is even more terrible is that this link http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?83397-7M-Gte-Wiring-Harness-Plugs-What-is-what-Walk-Through doesn't help. It doesn't even have the alternator plugs or the plug in question in that diagram. That seems odd...
Hey I figured I would jump over here because I was asking the same question about the pic. 1 plug. I had already made a thread called wire tuck help. Basically I want to move my fuse box. But that plug is the only thing holding me up from doing so. I really need to know what it is too. It has 5...

Pic number 1 in this thread. WTF does that plug do? The good people in that thread are trying to figure out the same thing. Someone must know. Someone who knows the 7MGTE well.
Think of it this way. It would cost about the same to buy and bolt in a 2JZ as it would to purchase and install a whole ton of performance parts for a 7M. Especially if you are converting to turbo. 400hp is not achievable (for cheap) on a non turbo 7M. I'm just saying that a 2JZ would be a smart...
I'm not asking how to do a wire tuck. Just read post 1 again please. I also searched wire tuck and read through a bunch of those. No answer for the above 2 questions I posted. Mainly it is the one greenish plug. To find it you would put your hand on the back of the alternator. Then run your hand...
Hey there I'm working on a 1988 Supra 7MGTE 5 speed. I am currently working on cleaning up a few things in the engine bay. I came up with a couple questions, since I am relatively new to Supras. Although I know Toyota pickups quite well. So, first question. I have headlight washers that I am...
Cool. I like minitrucks too. I just finished airbagging my 92 Toyota pickup 2wd extra cab. I'm more experienced with minitrucks than with Supras. I'll watch for pics!
