Ya it sounds like your heater core is not getting any hot coolant flowing through it. So you should take a look for leaking coolant everywhere and under the dash.
I just tore the leather off with my shift knob. There is still a bit of an edge around the clear plastic top piece. I installed it on my minitruck though. I actually have a Razo shift knob now.

I think #2 grounds on your inner fender. And #3 kinda looks like it goes on the battery. Just to get your brain going. I'm rather noob so don't trust me.
