    Experiences with Ford diesel products?

Well, we do a lot of traveling throughout the year to some of my father-in-law's marathons and are routinely hauling 7-8 pax on some of the family trips. It also needs to haul the Supra around when we move and we also travel with two kids and three dogs (2 labs and a Great Dane). So most small...

    Experiences with Ford diesel products?

Trust me, I'm not really partial to one or the other, just whatever is going to work best for me. I wish Dodge had a full size rig with the 5.9, but they don't. I have also seen the twin turbo setup for the 5.9 and it's pretty wicked! I think the Excursion will work well for what I want it...

    Experiences with Ford diesel products?

Yeah, I thought about the Dodge and I like the Cummins, but I'm still thinking along the lines of the fully enclosed Excursion. I could throw a topper on the F-250 or Ram 2500, but I sometimes like having the third row for people hauling. I also don't need it to be fast, but I've spent a lot...

    Experiences with Ford diesel products?

As the title asks, does anyone have a 6.0 Ford Powerstroke diesel? My Chevy Suburban is a 2003 and is really starting to piss me off with the little crap that keeps going wrong. I have been thinking of getting either an F-250 or Excursion with the 6.0. Just looking to see if anyone has...

Shaftmasters Aluminum Driveshaft test results are in

I'd also consider a two-piece. I still have my factory bearing that's only about 4 years old. It'd be perfect!

HPF Bronze vs ACT organic?? Chatter or not? Need your feedback?

I have the 6 puck HPF bronze disk with a steel insert aluminum flywheel, pretty much what you want to have according to your post. The clutch holds power magnificently, but is a PITA getting the car rolling. Traffic is not too much fun, but a lot better than the RPS I had before. Shifting...

I also still have my factory two piece in the garage if you need a test mule. It's from a 89 turbo manual.

Chrome on my moldings.....YAY or GAY??

I also agree that the wheel trim/combo came out very nice. I think the trim should go along the doors as well, but that's just me. EDIT: NM, I thought you had filled in the doors, but you haven't. It'll come out looking really good!

    Maftpro 4.80 working smooth

Trust me, doc, I'm working on a long email for ya. I've got to solve some cold start issues first and I think I have one more small vacuum leak somewhere, but I'm just about ready to start seriously tuning this thing. As a DD, though, the MAFT Pro works great! The car drives awesome and I...

    idle speed

It will also idle high if you have a vacuum leak. In addition to what others have said, check all of your vacuum lines to make sure none of them are cracked. It doesn't take much of an air leak to raise your idle. This was my issue...

    OVERHEATING HELP! HELP!

Like mkIIIman said, is it just spitting out coolant or was it indicating it was hot? If it is spitting coolant, make sure you didn't swap the hoses on the overflow bottle.

    Driveshaft critical speeds.

I wouldn't think it would be too bad, just use the stocker for the measurements. I guess the big problem would be convincing them to do it.

what do your parents do with you and your car?

That's pretty cool! My parents wouldn't go anywhere near my car!

How do I test/diagnose the ECU engine temp sensor?

It does. There is a little chart in there that has the desired resistance based on temp. I'll look for it in a little bit if you don't find it...

My sons 1989 Supra 7MGTE build up and story.

You'll find a lot of varying opinions, but I would not use the FAL fan setup. I'd stick with a good Al radiator and clutch fan. I can't back that up with any real scientific data, but I have tried using electric before and didn't like it very much. I was using an Autometer coolant temp gauge...
