How do I test/diagnose the ECU engine temp sensor?

How do I test/diagnose the ECU engine temp sensor? I can't find this in the online TSRM. Does it vary in resistance (ohms) according to temperature?

It does. There is a little chart in there that has the desired resistance based on temp. I'll look for it in a little bit if you don't find it...
