Either the A/C cutoff temp switch or the electric fans kick-on switch. I can't remember just sitting here, but there is a thread with pics here somewhere...
Yes it would and that tube is easily bent so take care when taking out the switch. You need to have the system evacuated before removing it and preferably someplace that won't try to charge you for refilling it with the freon they just took out.
Fight the power! As Jeff said, you can't change the water pump without touching the other stuff...that dealership owes you.

You can see how the factory sender for the aux fan kick-on fits nice and snug in there. It extends just enough to not interfere with the thermostat, but it's close. Any pics of the Spal sender??? Not that hard to do, either. Only took about five minutes!
