Here are my observations from using both methods...your results may vary:
First off, I have a properly working cooling system so I am not trying to cover anything up by using an electric fan. I also have the Fluidyne Al radiatior which is actually quite nice in this climate and a 180 degree...
Yes, the blower resistor thing is mounted underneath the glove box. You can lift the lower plastic portion up a little bit and you'll be able to see the one screw that holds it into the ducting. It's a really simple replacement. My low speed didn't work at all, but does now. It isn't that...
You are correct with the wrenching concept, however, you will lose all of your expensive R12 that way. The dealership assured me that it would not release pressure if I just pulled the switch to replace it, but they LIED. That was the last time I ever stepped into one...
I'm still gonna say that it would look better with brighter wheels. Either chrome or high gloss silver like the paint. Then it would be awesome...I just don't feel the black sawblades.

I, too, have had zero issues with the factory coolant lines blocked off and I am running the SP61GT. Of course, I also use the turbo timer to cool the oil down before shutdown.
Like JJ said, you do have pressure switches in the system. One is a high/low pressure switch and the other is merely a high pressure switch. The high/low is the one controlling the compressor turning on/off based on the freon and the other high only pressure switch is controlling what your aux...
I have pushed 400 rwhp/rwtq with mine at 15 psi and I haven't had any trouble running with the FAL BM-150 universal. I also have the Fluidyne aluminum radiator and had zero cooling issues before I swapped over from the factory setup. Of course, it hasn't warmed up here for summer here fully...
I'm getting ready to switch to the MAFT Pro w/boost control in addition to my PLX and Malloy has managed to convince me I need methanol, too. Should be fun! Glad I have more than one car, cuz I might blow my motor up. Good thing I have my spare block in the garage!
I'm pretty lucky...the...
