Emilio's Rebuild & Improvement Build Thread

Is said car rusty at all? It would be a damn shame to see a rust-free car in Minnesota torn apart.

Emilio's Rebuild & Improvement Build Thread

I had the same thing happen with the White car, they just cut three cheapo keys for me. This time around I double-checked with them that they would give me the OEMs. Pretty cheap too, something like $10.25 a key, with free cuts. I would be buying sups in need of help like crazy if I had the...

Emilio's Rebuild & Improvement Build Thread

Got a few more things done this weekend. 1. Replaced the traction arms on the Blue Supra. 2. Got some OEM Toyota Keys cut for the Blue Supra. 3. Moved the Blue Supra weatherstripping to the White Supra, installed a new one on the Blue Supra. White: Blue: New! 4. Rear main seal for White...

Emilio's Rebuild & Improvement Build Thread

I ordered a new hatch weatherstrip for the Blue Supra, so the old one off of that car will go on the White Car. New rear main seal is also on its way, so that will be a nice repair as well. Anyone feel like giving me a hand replacing it? :D CL ad got flagged, reposted...

To buy or not to buy SC300?

Agreed on passing. Primary reason is the higher mileage. Even if you fix it up very nicely, prospective buyers will shy away.

    ***The Blue Supras Thread***

Well, I think gold rims in general are quite horrible, but the best combo you can do is White Car + Gold wheels IMHO. edit: I guess this is more of a bronze, but you get the idea.

    ***The Blue Supras Thread***

FUCKING HORRIBLE If you ask me. He painted over perfectly good 91-92 wheels with Krylon spraypaint to do it... I think this picture describes it best: also:

So how many mk3's have you junked/scrapped?

None - I don't like it when our cars are destroyed.

The Fruition of Obsession -- 310,000 mile makeover --

There are some 18"s and then some 17x8"s available on 5zigen's website, but in a very limited selection of color, size, and offset. I just want a staggered set of 17x8/9s in silver!

The Fruition of Obsession -- 310,000 mile makeover --

I absolutely love those wheels. I've wanted them for ages but never had the money. Now that I'm a bit older, wiser, and richer, I'd love to buy a set, but 5Zigen appears to have discontinued them!

    God I hate People

THIS, 100% absolutely. So very many people on this forum have purchased perfectly okay stock/running/repairable shells and cars, spent thousands of dollars "modifying" them, only to eventually lose interest or run out of money, and part out the shell without ever having driven the car. There...

Emilio's Rebuild & Improvement Build Thread

Well today I was starting my drive down to the cities, and I hit a big pothole (in White Supra). One of the lug nuts/studs sheared straight off. I'm debating bringing the car back down to the cities on 4/5 lugs on the left rear wheel - bad idea?

    Powdercoating an Aluminium Radiator?

So it looks like based on that post - the coating shouldn't matter much since it's so thin, I'm mostly worried about the radiator possibly being damaged while it's being coated. The marker and spray can paint ideas have me worried about it looking like crap and not holding up over time. My real...

    Powdercoating an Aluminium Radiator?

So this is a slightly odd question, but my bright silver Aluminium radiator under my hood has been bothering me a lot, and I wanted to make it black instead. I read the best way to get a radiator color changed was anodizing, but there are no anodizing shops that seem willing to do it near me...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

That's one thing we can always look forward to: when Steve's stuff goes wrong, we'll know what happened in gory detail in just a few days. :icon_bigg Best of luck!
