Here's a short video we took in Ron Ramirez's garage yesterday. I worked most evenings for weeks and weeks to make these. Sorry, I won't make any more, for any price. Not enough time!

It was just a string of bad luck. I didn't bring a jack or tons of tools because lots of the other guys were. It was all set up that the parts would arrive the next day, and the local shop would do the work, so the guys left for Vegas. The shop mechanic then didn't show up, and none of the other...
What a disaster. Got stood up by the small town mechanic that was supposed to fix my timing belt tensioner today, and no where else could take it till tomorrow. I brought some tools with me, but not enough for this job. I would have bought the tools and fixed it myself on the road side, but I...
Argh! My timing belt tensioner bearing failed on the drive today! The caravan was held up for an hour while we searched for the problem. I just barely was able to roll it into a gas station in Wells, Nevada that luckily has a repair garage. Mark at Vancouver Toyota was able to pull some strings...
Thanks JJ!
I tested it, and my bottom clutch switch works fine, and the wires appear OK. Any idea why the car still starts without pressing the clutch? It never used to be able to do that.
I'm not sure why I'm getting this code, but I was wondering if it might be a part of my problem of being hard to start when cold.
Does the ECU give the engine more fuel or fire up the cold start injector when starting? How important is this signal?
Can I simply run a wire from the ignition...
YES, I installed a Magnaflow 3" hi-flow cat because I was tired of the smell also. It made a huge improvement, my exhaust doesn't stink anymore. But yes, I think you'll probably have a couple of spots in the hatch where exhaust is rising up and creeping into the interior, through either hidden...
Good news! The key to my problem was in the AVCR manual! I adjusted the duty a bit but it was then overshooting by 2psi, but found a setting that was stable. But for the dropping boost problem, the feedback setting for each gear was the solution. I simply upped the feedback for 3rd gear from 3...
Thanks for the ideas guys. The key was in the AVCR manual! I adjusted the duty a bit, but the feedback setting for each gear was the solution. I simply upped the feedback for 3rd gear from 3 to 7 and it's now holding boost in 3rd. It still fluctuates a bit but I think fine tuning and the...
OT: Anyone going to be in Vegas that has a Shaftmasters aluminum(or steel) driveshaft installed? I'm REALLY curious to see if they are much quiter than my unknown brand driveshaft, which makes a hollow clunk sound when engaging.
Would be nice to start a build off with an ulra-low mile chassis like this. It was a huge pain and expense to replace my wheel bearings and intermediate steering shaft because of wear!!
I was reading the AVCR manual tonight to solve my similar boost problem. Have a look at the Feedback setting for 3rd gear. The manual says, "if boost is dropping off, adjust feedback setting". The numbers 1-9 are slow to fast. It doesn't say which way to adjust it, but I'm going to try this...
I have a "Go Fast Bits" good-quality Australian brand blow off valve (1" in/out) installed and recirculating like the stock setup. But I still get some stumbling and stalling after boosting and letting off. I'm running a SAFC, 550's, lex AFM. What could I try to solve this?
After not having the car for 1.5 years for the bodywork, I'm keen to avoid any downtime at all!
I managed to get the compressor housing off with a huge pair of snap ring pliers and seal it up with high-temp silicone (what a nightmare job!). There was no O-ring as the two surfaces were...
I was having trouble reaching full boost and the boost was dropping at times. I tested for boost leaks, and found and fixed them all: leaking CT26 57trim compressor housing, pinhole in intercooler, vacuum line popped off under intake manifold. I also shimmed the wastgate with 2 washers, as a...
