Yeah it came with a new u joint, but didn't have a carrier bearing or flange. I put the carrier and flange from my auto on it. Could that be the problem? Are the flanges different?

Uhh the 2zz was used in the lotus for emissions and cost purposes only... it is a sufficent motor to propel the lightweight lotus. Look at the people swaping in mild k20's and mopping the floor with the supercharged 2zz's... i love the 2zz and would rather have it over a k20 but a faster motor...

A small amount of superglue will work to hold the washer on, ive done it before with no ill affects. That banjo is a pita took me forever the first time... no real trick or easy way to it.. just keep trying.

I do concur^ pretty easy to tune but acts up all the time/ very inconsistant... very small company with bad support and no respect for customers and false promises at every corner... plus the fact that its locked to a certain setup and has to be sent back if you want it on a different...

I just done mine recently. I just put a socket on the cam bolt and rotated it clockwise... I did it slowly but did not run into anything that would lead me to believe any interference was present..

I got rid of it because Ill be using a stinger to control the engine, I'm not sure if it can be used to control the iscv and really shouldn't matter without it once tuned correctly.
